Emilie Bonaventure

Describe who you are and what you do in one sentence.

I am a French interior designer, with worldwide interests.

How did you get started in the arts? What’s the most important thing you’ve learned doing this so far?

It was my dream since I was a teenager, after I realized I would never be a ballet dancer!

What I’ve learned is that I should have trusted my name even more (“Bonaventure” means good fortune in French) and understand that I just had to read my palms like a fortuneteller.

Where do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

Designing hotels.

Tell us something about your brand that we may not know!

My brand is listening to people. Which is the reverse of branding!!

Where do you go when you want to relax?

Johanna Kolodny

Johanna Kolodny knew that she was onto something her senior year at Williams College. Faculty member Darra Goldstein was teaching a class called “Russian Food and Culture” that Johanna absolutely loved and became moved by. For the first time, she had that special epiphany, when you realize that the thing you love could become your career. And she hasn’t looked back since then.

But her love affair with food started long before that class at Williams. While growing up she enjoyed home cooked meals, backyard gardening, community farming, and a CSA membership. Learning to love and have genuine curiosity for food at such an early age has now defined her career. As a food systems consultant, Johanna travels around America exploring elements of the supply chain, learning more about them, and figuring out ways to make each individual link in the chain work well.

In 10 years she sees herself still working as a Food Systems consultant, continuing to fight to make a difference in the world. Using food for change is truly what makes her glow. Discover what’s going on in Johanna’s travels and learn about her services here.

Caroline Wachsmuth

Describe who you are and what you do in one sentence.
I am a green beauty advocate, an ashtanga yoga passionate, I create organic skincare, DIY beauty recipes and at the moment focusing most of my energy designing my new brand, to launch this year.

How did you get started in the beauty industry? What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in your time there?
I started by being a beauty & health journalist before undertaking massage and aromatherapy studies and starting my first organic skincare brand in Paris back in 2002. I’d say the most important thing I learnt during all these years is that the secret of beauty is all about love. Of the Self. And also, I learnt to never ever ignore what my inner voice is saying. Ever. Again.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
Pretty much the same but also having achieved a very big dream of mine that I cannot share here;)

Tell us something about yourself that we may not know!
I am very anxious by nature and my mind is wired pretty much all the time. That is why my yoga practice is so important to me, together with other physical activities and meditation as much as I can.

Where do you go when you want to relax?
Off on my bike and I go sit on the beach down my house.

What makes you glow?
Yoga, staying creative in all areas of my life, spending time with my dear friends. My products.
